PE and Sport Premium at Greenslade Primary School
The Coalition Government has provided additional funding of £150 million per annum for academic years 2013 to 2016, to improve the provision of Physical Education (PE) and Sport within state primary schools nationwide. This funding – provided jointly by the Departments for Education as well as Health and Culture, Media and Sport – will be apportioned directly to schools.
Mandatory guidelines issued state that schools are fully accountable for how the ring-fenced Premium funding is spent however they are free to choose which areas of subject development they deem to be most important and far-reaching for expenditure.
All schools with 17 or more primary-aged pupils will receive a lump sum of £8000.
